DESCRIPTION

The display and navigation module display and television display assembly are connected by the MOST communication line.

When a MOST communication error occurs between the display and navigation module display and the television display assembly, these DTCs will be stored.

* *4: for 4-Passenger with Ottoman

HINT
For the MOST network, the display and navigation module display is the master unit.

HINT
* *1: Even if no fault is present, this DTC may be stored depending on the battery condition or engine start voltage.
* For the MOST network, the display and navigation module display is the master unit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)

(a) Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

HINT
* Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect MOST communication.
* This DTC may be stored when a MOST communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

A -- Continue to next step.

2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)

(a) Remove optional components (including associated wiring).

NOTICE:
Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Check for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

OK -- END

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the R59*1 or R62*2 television display assembly connector.





*1: for 4-Passenger with Ottoman

*2: except 4-Passenger with Ottoman

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

for 4-Passenger with Ottoman
except 4-Passenger with Ottoman










(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

for 4-Passenger with Ottoman
except 4-Passenger with Ottoman

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER)

(a) Disconnect the R59*1 or R62*2 television display assembly connector.

*1: for 4-Passenger with Ottoman

*2: except 4-Passenger with Ottoman

(b) Disconnect the R60 stereo component amplifier connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

for 4-Passenger with Ottoman
except 4-Passenger with Ottoman

B -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX - TELEVISION DISPLAY)

C -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY - DISC PLAYER)

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY - DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY)

(a) Disconnect the R59*1 or R62*2 television display assembly connector.

*1: for 4-Passenger with Ottoman

*2: except 4-Passenger with Ottoman

(b) Disconnect the L115 display and navigation module display connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

for 4-Passenger with Ottoman
except 4-Passenger with Ottoman










NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

7. REPLACE TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY

(a) Temporarily replace the television display assembly with a new or normally functioning one.

* for Roof: Removal

* for Console Box: Removal

(b) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY Removal

OK -- END

8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX - TELEVISION DISPLAY)

(a) Disconnect the R16 rear seat console box assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the R59 television display assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

9. INSPECT REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the rear seat console box assembly Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

10. REPLACE DISC PLAYER ASSEMBLY

(a) Temporarily the disc player assembly with new or normal functioning one Removal.

(b) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY Removal

OK -- END

11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY - DISC PLAYER)

(a) Disconnect the R62 television display assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the R64 disc player assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

12. REPLACE DISC PLAYER ASSEMBLY

(a) Temporarily the disc player assembly with new or normal functioning one Removal.

(b) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY Removal

OK -- END
