DESCRIPTION

The seat climate control ECU stops outputs to the seat climate control controller if a short, etc. in the seat heater, wire harness or ECU interior circuit causes overcurrent.

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Climate Control Seat System.

C -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU - REAR SEATBACK COVER LH)

D -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU - REAR SEATBACK COVER RH)
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU - FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER LH)

(a) Disconnect the e35 ECU connector.





(b) Disconnect the e42 cushion cover connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU

(a) Replace the seat climate control ECU Disassembly.

(b) Check for DTC Climate Control Seat System.

OK:

DTC is not output

NG -- REPLACE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER LH Disassembly

OK -- END (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU WAS DEFECTIVE)

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU - FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER RH)

(a) Disconnect the e3 ECU connector.





(b) Disconnect the e9 cushion cover connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU

(a) Replace the seat climate control ECU Disassembly.

(b) Check for DTC Climate Control Seat System.

OK:

DTC is not output

NG -- REPLACE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER RH Disassembly

OK -- END (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU WAS DEFECTIVE)

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU - REAR SEATBACK COVER LH)

(a) Disconnect the f27 ECU connector.





(b) Disconnect the f23 seatback cover connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU

(a) w/o Ottoman:

Replace the seat climate control ECU Disassembly.

(b) w/ Ottoman:

Replace the seat climate control ECU Disassembly.

(c) Check for DTC Climate Control Seat System.

OK:

DTC is not output

8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU - REAR SEATBACK COVER RH)

(a) Disconnect the f7 ECU connector.





(b) Disconnect the f3 seatback cover connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

9. CHECK SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU

(a) w/o Ottoman:

Replace the seat climate control ECU Disassembly.

(b) w/ Ottoman:

Replace the seat climate control ECU Disassembly.

(c) Check for DTC Climate Control Seat System.

OK:

DTC is not output
