SEAT BELT: FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

(a) Check the degree of tilt when the ELR begins to lock.





(1) Check that the belt does not lock at less than 15 degrees of tilt in any direction but locks at over 45 degrees of tilt while gently pulling the belt.

NOTICE:
Do not disassemble the retractor.

2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

(a) Temporarily install the front seat outer belt assembly with the 2 bolts.





(b) Fully tighten the upper side bolt first, then the lower side bolt to install the front seat outer belt assembly.

For upper bolt - Torque : 7.5 Nm (77 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)

For lower bolt - Torque : 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

(c) Connect the pretensioner connector and lock the locking button as shown in the illustration.





NOTICE:
Securely lock the locking button.

(d) Connect the connectors.

(e) Install the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly with the nut.





Torque : 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

3. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH Installation

5. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE Installation

6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE Installation

7. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side) Installation

8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side) Installation

9. INSTALL LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER LH (for LH Side) Installation

10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) Installation

11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

12. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

Inspect the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
