AXLE AND DIFFERENTIAL: FRONT AXLE HUB BOLT: REPLACEMENT

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

2. SEPARATE FRONT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE FRONT DISC Removal

4. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB BOLT

(a) Temporarily install 2 nuts and 2 washers to the front axle hub bolt as shown in the illustration.

HINT
Install hub nuts to prevent damage to the hub bolts.





(b) Using SST and a screwdriver or an equivalent tool to hold the front axle hub and bearing assembly, remove the front axle hub bolt.

SST : 09628-10011

NOTICE:
Do not damage the threads of the front axle hub bolts.

5. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB BOLT

(a) Install a washer and nut to a new front axle hub bolt as shown in the illustration.





(b) Using a screwdriver or an equivalent tool to hold the front hub axle and bearing assembly, install the front axle hub bolt by tightening the nut.

NOTICE:
Do not damage the threads of the front axle hub bolts.

HINT
Install hub nuts to prevent damage to the hub bolts.

8. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
