Removal





PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE PEDAL: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

Removal

2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX

Removal

4. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX DUCT Removal

5. REMOVE DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

Removal

6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

7. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER LH Removal

8. SEPARATE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

9. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH Removal

10. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR FOOTREST LH

(a) Disengage the 2 clips and remove the front floor footrest LH.

11. REMOVE NO. 3 DASH PANEL INSULATOR PAD

(a) Remove the clip and No. 3 dash panel insulator pad.

12. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR SILENCER PAD LH

13. REMOVE REAR AIR DUCT GUIDE LH

14. REMOVE NO. 2 REAR AIR DUCT

15. REMOVE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY Removal

16. REMOVE FRONT UPPER FLOOR REAR SUB PANEL

(a) Turn back the floor carpet in order to remove the front upper floor rear sub panel.





(b) Remove the 4 bolts.

(c) Disengage the 8 clamps, and remove the front upper floor rear sub panel from the body.

17. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT WITH CENTER BEARING ASSEMBLY

Removal

18. LOOSEN PARKING BRAKE

(a) Remove the lock nut from the No. 1 parking brake assembly.





(b) Loosen the No. 1 wire adjusting nut and parking brake.

19. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE RETURN WITH DAMPER SPRING

(a) Remove the parking brake return with damper spring.





20. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE EQUALIZER

(a) Remove the 2 bolts, and separate the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly and No. 3 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake equalizer.





(b) Slide the rubber boot as shown in the illustration.





(c) Remove the parking brake equalizer from the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.





21. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CONTROL PEDAL ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 3 nuts, and separate the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the body.





(b) Remove the 2 nuts and separate the instrument panel junction block assembly.





(c) Disconnect the parking brake switch connector.





(d) Remove the 3 nuts and parking brake control pedal assembly from the body.
