PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE CABLE: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CONTROL PEDAL ASSEMBLY

HINT
Refer to the instructions for Removal of the parking brake control pedal assembly Removal.

2. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Pull up the claw of the parking brake control pedal assembly.

(b) Remove the No. 1 wire adjusting nut from the parking brake control pedal assembly.

(c) Remove the clip and No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake control pedal assembly.

3. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

4. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY Disassembly

5. REMOVE REAR DISC Removal

6. REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION SPRING Disassembly

7. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION SPRING Disassembly

8. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING SCREW SET Disassembly

9. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY Disassembly

10. REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY Disassembly

11. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

12. REMOVE NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR Removal

13. REMOVE NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts, disengage the 2 clamps, and separate the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly form the body.

(b) Remove the 2 nuts and No. 3 parking brake cable assembly from the cable support bracket.

14. REMOVE NO. 1 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR Removal

15. REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

Use the same procedure for the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

16. REMOVE CABLE SUPPORT BRACKET

(a) Remove the 2 nuts and cable support bracket.
