Removal
BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: BRAKE ACTUATOR: REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal
3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal
4. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
NOTICE:
If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, immediately clean it off.
5. SEPARATE NO. 3 ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK Removal
6. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
7. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
8. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET
(a) Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to allow brake fluid to enter the removed connector.
(b) Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the 6 brake lines from the brake actuator with bracket.
(c) Use tags or make a memo to identify the places to reconnect.

(d) Disengage the clamp.
(e) Slide the clip and disconnect the vacuum hose from the check valve.
(f) Remove the front No. 1 brake line and rear No. 1 brake line from the clamp.

NOTICE:
Do not damage the brake lines.
(g) Remove the 2 bolts and nut from the brake actuator with bracket.
(h) Remove the brake actuator with bracket.
NOTICE:
Do not damage the brake lines.
9. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 3 bolts and the brake actuator assembly from the brake actuator bracket.
10. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR BRACKET
(a) Remove the 3 brake actuator bolt collars and 3 brake actuator bolt case cushions from the brake actuator bracket.
