Removal





SLIDING ROOF / CONVERTIBLE: LUGGAGE DOOR DRIVE MOTOR: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

Service Precautions

NOTICE:
w/ Navigation System for HDD:

After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal Service Precautions.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

3. SET LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR Removal

4. REMOVE INNER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE TRIM BRACKET Removal

6. REMOVE NO. 2 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM HINGE Removal

7. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM GARNISH LH Removal

8. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM GARNISH RH Removal

9. REMOVE UNDER PACKAGE TRAY TRIM COVER Removal

10. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM COVER Removal

11. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY PANEL (for Front Side) Removal

12. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY PANEL (for Rear Side) Removal

13. SET PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET Removal

14. SET METALTOP ROOF

(a) Manually move the roof to the position shown in the illustration.





NOTICE:
* Perform this operation using 2 persons.
* Synchronize the movement of the left and right sides of the roof when moving it.
* Synchronize the movement of the left and right sides of the upper back window frame sub-assembly when moving it.

HINT
* Do not lock the front slide roof panel sub-assembly and rear slide roof panel sub-assembly
* Do not lock the upper back window frame sub-assembly.

15. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT (w/ Spare Tire) Removal

20. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX LH Removal

21. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX RH Removal

22. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK PROTECTOR Removal

23. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY (for Rear Side) Removal

24. REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER Removal

25. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY Removal

26. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER HOOK HOLDER Removal

27. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF GUIDE RAIL STOPPER Removal

28. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER Removal

29. REMOVE LOWER INNER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER Removal

30. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR CUSHION (for LH Side) Removal

31. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER STOPPER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

32. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM SIDE COVER LH Removal

33. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR SIDE CUSHION RH (for LH Side) Removal

34. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM SIDE COVER RH Removal

35. REMOVE ROPE HOOK (for LH Side) Removal

36. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY (for Front LH) Removal

37. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH Removal

38. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH SIDE PLATE LH Removal

39. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH Removal

40. DISCONNECT NO. 1 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE Removal

41. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

42. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE ASSEMBLY LH Removal

43. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE ASSEMBLY RH Removal

44. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

(b) Using a clip remover, disengage the clamp.





(c) Using a socket hexagon wrench 6, remove the 3 bolts and luggage door drive gear assembly LH.
