DESCRIPTION
The front controller receives washer fluid level warning switch condition (on or off) information, and sends it through multiplex communication lines to the combination meter.
The combination meter receives this information, and turns on the washer fluid level warning light when the washer fluid becomes low.

PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (WASHER LEVEL)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream main switch on.
(c) Select the item below in the DATA LIST, and read the displays on the Techstream.
Body No. 5 (Front Controller):
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT CONTROLLER (ENGINE ROOM NO. 2 J/B) - BODY GROUND)
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT CONTROLLER (ENGINE ROOM NO. 2 J/B) - BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the 2F front controller (engine room No. 2 J/B) connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- CHECK WASHER FLUID LEVEL SENSOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
3. CHECK WASHER FLUID LEVEL SENSOR
(a) Disconnect the A1 washer fluid level sensor connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE WASHER FLUID LEVEL SENSOR
OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
