Transfer Case Actuator: Testing and Inspection

UF1AE TRANSFER: TRANSFER CONTROL SOLENOID: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT TRANSFER CONTROL SOLENOID

(a) Connect the battery's positive (+) terminal and a bulb of 12 V - 21 W to terminal 1 as shown in the illustration.





(b) Connect the battery's negative (-) terminal to terminal 2 and check if the solenoid operates.

OK:

The solenoid operates and operating sound is heard.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





If the resistance is not within the specified range, replace the transfer control solenoid.
