Installation





SUSPENSION: REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM: INSTALLATION

1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM

(a) Temporarily install the rear No. 2 suspension arm with the bolt, nut, and washer.





(b) Temporarily install the rear No. 2 suspension arm with the bolt and nut.

(c) Temporarily install the rear shock absorber with coil spring with the bolt and nut.

(d) Temporarily install the stabilizer link assembly and the height control sensor link bracket to the rear No. 2 suspension arm with the bolt and nut.

HINT
Fully tighten the nut after stabilizing the suspension.

2. STABILIZE SUSPENSION

(a) Jack up the axle carrier, with a wooden block placed between the jack and axle carrier, to apply a load to the rear suspension so that the rear drive shaft assembly becomes level.





3. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM

(a) Fully tighten the bolt (A) on the axle carrier side.





Torque : 161 Nm (1640 kgf-cm, 119 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Turn the bolt while holding the nut.

(b) Fully tighten the bolt (B) holding the rear shock absorber with coil spring.

Torque : 110 Nm (1120 kgf-cm, 81 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Turn the bolt while holding the nut.

(c) Fully tighten the nut (C) holding the rear stabilizer link assembly.

Torque : 27 Nm (275 kgf-cm, 20 ft-lbf)

(d) Using a ball joint lock nut wrench (19 mm), fully tighten the nut (D) on the rear suspension member side.

Torque : 140 Nm (1430 kgf-cm, 103 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where the ball joint lock nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Service Precautions.

4. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE Installation

5. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

6. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT

Rear Wheel Alignment

7. INSPECT AND ADJUST HEADLIGHT AIMING
