Removal
SUSPENSION: FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM (for 4WD): REMOVAL
1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER
2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
3. SEPARATE HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR LINK ASSEMBLY Removal
4. SEPARATE FRONT SPEED SENSOR Removal
5. SEPARATE FRONT UPPER SUSPENSION ARM Removal
6. SEPARATE TIE ROD ASSEMBLY Removal
7. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY Removal
8. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING Removal
9. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
10. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM
(a) Support the front suspension crossmember with a transmission jack.
NOTICE:
Be sure to place a wooden block between the front suspension crossmember and transmission jack.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts from the front lower ball joint.
(c) Loosen the installation nut of the lower No. 2 arm bracket assembly.
NOTICE:
Do not remove the nut.
(d) Put matchmarks on the front No. 2 suspension camber adjust cam and crossmember.
(e) Remove the nut and front No. 2 suspension camber adjust cam.
(f) Remove the front No. 1 suspension camber adjust cam.
(g) Remove the 4 bolts, side rail plate, and front lower suspension arm with the No. 2 lower arm bracket assembly.
11. REMOVE FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT Removal
12. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 ARM BRACKET ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the nut, washer, and lower No. 2 arm bracket assembly from the front lower suspension arm.
