SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR: REMOVAL

HINT
* Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
* The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION:
Be sure to read "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing Service Precautions.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.

3. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

4. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY Removal

6. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (for LH Side)

for 2GR-FSE: Removal

for 4GR-FSE: Removal

7. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (for RH Side)

for 2GR-FSE: Removal

for 4GR-FSE: Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR Removal

9. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and front airbag sensor from the body.





(b) Disconnect the connector from the front airbag sensor LH.
