DESCRIPTION

with Multi-display:

The combination meter assembly detects the state of the front seat inner belt assembly RH when the front passenger seat is occupied with the engine switch on (IG). If the front passenger seat belt is not fastened, the front seat belt warning light on the clock assembly blinks. If the seat belt is fastened, the warning light goes off.

without Multi-display:

The combination meter assembly detects the state of the front seat inner belt assembly RH when the front passenger seat is occupied with the engine switch on (IG). If the front passenger seat belt is not fastened, the front seat belt warning light on the integration control & panel assembly blinks. If the seat belt is fastened, the warning light goes off.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Operate Techstream according to the steps on the display and select "ACTIVE TEST".

OK:

Switch condition (ON/OFF) can be switched by "ACTIVE TEST".

B -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (CLOCK ASSEMBLY +B)

C -- GO TO COMBINATION METER SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (INTEGRATION CONTROL & PANEL +B)

(a) Disconnect the integration control & panel connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK INTEGRATION CONTROL & PANEL

(a) Disconnect the integration control & panel connector.





(b) Apply battery voltage to the connector according to the table below.

Voltage:





NG -- REPLACE INTEGRATION CONTROL & PANEL
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (INTEGRATION CONTROL & PANEL - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the combination meter assembly and integration control & panel connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Resistance:





OK -- INSPECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR)

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (CLOCK ASSEMBLY +B)

(a) Disconnect the clock assembly connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

6. CHECK CLOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the clock assembly connector.





(b) Apply battery voltage to the connector according to the table below.

Voltage:





NG -- REPLACE CLOCK ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (CLOCK ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the combination meter assembly and clock assembly.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

8. INSPECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the occupant detection sensor connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR)
OK -- Continue to next step.

9. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - FRONT SEAT INNER BELT RH)

(a) Disconnect the front seat inner belt RH connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

10. REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (PASSENGER SIDE)

(a) Replace the front seat inner belt assembly (Passenger side).

OK:

Seat belt warning operation returns to normal.

NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER

OK -- END
