Removal

SEAT BELT: OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR (for Power Seat): REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH

(a) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.

(b) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the front outer seat track bracket cover RH.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

3. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH

4. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER RH

(a) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the position farthest forward.

(b) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the rear seat track cover RH.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

5. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK COVER RH

6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts on the front seat track bracket.

(c) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the position farthest forward.

(d) Remove the 2 bolts on the rear seat track bracket.

(e) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

CAUTION:
Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment. Service Precautions

(f) Disconnect the connectors under the seat. Then remove the seat.

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Disconnect the connector and detach the 4 clamps.

(b) Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly RH.

8. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the knob.

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

9. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the knob.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD WITH NO. 1 CUSHION SHIELD INNER

(a) Release the 2 rubber bands of the front seatback board from the front seat frame.

(b) Remove the 6 screws.

(c) Disengage the claw and remove the cushion shield with No. 1 cushion shield inner.

(d) Disconnect the connector from the front power seat lumbar switch.

11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD RH Removal

12. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/ Seat Position Memory System)

(a) Remove the 3 screws.

(b) Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the front power seat switch.

13. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/o Seat Position Memory System)

(a) Remove the 3 screws.

(b) Disconnect the connector and remove the front power seat switch.

14. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) Disconnect the connectors and detach the clamps.

(b) Disengage the clamp and separate the occupant detection sensor connector.

(d) Disengage the hooks and remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

15. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD

(a) Remove the hog rings and separate type front seat cushion pad.
