Removal





SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: SPIRAL CABLE: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting cable to prevent the airbag deployment.

2. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

3. REMOVE LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER Removal

4. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER Removal

5. REMOVE STEERING PAD Removal

6. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY

For Manual Tilt Removal

For Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Removal

7. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER

For Manual Tilt Removal

For Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Removal

8. REMOVE SPIRAL CABLE WITH STEERING ANGLE SENSOR

(a) Disconnect the connectors from the spiral cable with steering sensor.





NOTICE:
When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(b) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the spiral cable with steering sensor.

9. SEPARATE SPIRAL CABLE

(a) Disengage the 6 claws and separate the spiral cable.
