Front Seat Side Airbag Assembly (for Manual Seat)

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat): ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION)

(a) Perform a diagnostic system check Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) With the front seat airbag assembly installed on the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any defects as mentioned below, replace the necessary parts in accordance with the result of the visual check:





* Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the front seatback assembly around the front seat airbag assembly.

2. FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG HAS NOT DEPLOYED)

(a) Perform a diagnostic system check Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) With the front seat airbag assembly removed from the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any defects as mentioned below, replace the front seat airbag assembly with a new one:





* Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the front seat airbag assembly.

* Cracks or other damage to the wire harness or connector.

Be sure to follow the correct removal and installation procedures.
