Fuel Gauge Sender: Testing and Inspection

4GR-FSE FUEL: FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector.





(b) Inspect the fuel sender gauge assembly (main).

(1) Remove the fuel sender gauge assembly (main).

(2) Check that the float moves smoothly between F and E.

(3) Measure the resistance between the terminals 2 (S) and 3 (FE) of connector according to the value(s) in the table below.

(c) Inspect the fuel sender gauge assembly (sub).

(d) Remove the fuel sender gauge assembly (sub).

(e) Check that the float moves smoothly between F and E.

(f) Measure the resistance between the terminals 1 (FS) and 2 (E) according to the value(s) in the table below.
