SLIDING ROOF: SLIDING ROOF HOUSING: DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the claw and remove the sliding roof drive gear bracket.





(b) Remove the 2 bolts and sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly.

NOTICE:
To prevent the sliding roof glass and sliding roof drive gear from being displaced, fully close the sliding roof glass (sliding roof drive cable), and then remove the sliding roof drive gear.





2. REMOVE SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 screws and sliding roof piece sub-assembly LH and RH.





(b) Slide and remove the sunshade trim sub-assembly.

3. REMOVE REAR ROOF DRIP CHANNEL





(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws. Then slide the rear roof drip channel rearward to remove it.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

NOTICE:
Do not disassemble the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly except when replacing it.

(a) Remove the 2 screws and sliding roof side stoppers.





(b) Hold down the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.





(c) Using a screwdriver, slide the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to remove it.





HINT
* Hold the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly down until the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly becomes disengage from the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.
* Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

5. REMOVE ROOF WIND DEFLECTOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 pins. Then remove the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.

NOTICE:
Lift the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly to remove it from the holder.

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
