Removal





ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR SUPPORT: REMOVAL

HINT
* Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
* The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER

2. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX LH

3. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX RH

4. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER Removal

6. REMOVE NO. 2 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE ROPE HOOK Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER Removal

9. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK Removal

10. REMOVE SIDE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER Removal

11. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

NOTICE:
* As much as possible avoid touching the stroke portions of the rod to prevent foreign matter from attaching to it. Be sure to hold the cylinders while servicing.
* Do not wear cotton gloves or other similar materials when handling the rod. Fibers may attach to the rod and result in gas leaks.
* Do not apply any load to the cylinders in the horizontal direction in order to prevent the rod from being deformed.

(a) Using a screwdriver, raise the claws on the bracket of the luggage compartment door support.





HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Using a screwdriver, remove the stop ring on the ball joint along its groove.

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(c) Disengage the luggage compartment door support at the ball joint and the pin.

NOTICE:
Remove the luggage compartment door support assembly while supporting the luggage compartment door with hands.
