How to Proceed With Troubleshooting





AUDIO / VISUAL: AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM (w/o Navigation System with Multi-display): HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

HINT
* Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the audio and visual system (w/o Navigation System with Multi-display).
* *: Use the Techstream.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

(a) Inspect the battery voltage.

Standard Voltage:

11 to 14 V

If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. DIAGNOSTIC QUESTIONING AND SYMPTOM CONFIRMATION

(a) Ask the customer about symptoms and confirm malfunctions.

Result:





B -- Go to step 11, AND PROCEED TO "BLACK SCREEN"
A -- Continue to next step.

4. OPERATION CHECK

(a) Refer to Check System Normal Condition Audio And Visual System (w/o Navigation System with Multi-display).

B -- SYMPTOM IS NORMAL OPERATION
A -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

(a) Check for DTC output How To Proceed With Troubleshooting.

B -- GO TO MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.

6. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

(a) Check for DTC output How to Proceed With Troubleshooting.

A -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK FOR DTC*

(a) Refer to DTC Check / Clear Audio And Visual System (w/o Navigation System with Multi-display).

HINT
If more information is needed, perform a recheck using the "System Check Mode" screen after rechecking for DTCs using the Techstream System Description.

B -- Go to step 11
A -- Continue to next step.

8. DTC CLEAR*

(a) Refer to DTC Check / Clear Audio And Visual System (w/o Navigation System with Multi-display).

HINT
The current DTCs may not indicate actual malfunctions depending on the vehicle operating conditions.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

9. RECHECK FOR DTC*

HINT
* Even if the malfunction symptom is not confirmed, check for DTCs. This is because the system stores history DTCs.
* If more information is needed, perform a recheck using the "System Check Mode" screen after rechecking for DTCs using the Techstream System Description.
* Check the DTC and inspect the area code indicates.

10. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART

(a) Find the output code in Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart Audio And Visual System (w/o Navigation System with Multi-display).

NEXT -- Go to step 13

11. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

(a) Refer to Problem Symptoms Table Problem Symptoms Table.

If the symptom does not recur and no DTC is output, perform the symptom reproduction method How To Proceed With Troubleshooting.

12. PERFORM TROUBLESHOOTING BASED ON MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM

(a) Refer to Terminals of ECU Audio And Visual System (w/o Navigation System with Multi-display).

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

13. CHECK CIRCUIT

(a) Adjust, repair or replace as necessary.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

14. RECHECK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE

After clearing the DTCs, recheck for DTCs.

15. PERFORM CONFIRMATION TEST
