B1000/31 - Center Airbag Sensor Assembly Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The center airbag sensor assembly consists of a deceleration sensor, safing sensor, drive circuit, diagnosis circuit, ignition control, etc.
If the center airbag sensor assembly receives signals from the deceleration sensor, it determines whether the airbag squib and pretensioner squib should be activated.
DTC B1000/31 is stored when a malfunction is detected in the center airbag sensor assembly.

1. CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result
NOTICE:
If only DTC B1000/31 is output, do not clear the DTCs, replace the center airbag sensor assembly.
HINT
If any DTCs other than DTC B1000/31 are also output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.
