Removal





2AZ-FXE FUEL: FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System)

NOTICE:
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE

3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT

4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL Removal

5. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the windshield wiper motor and link assembly Removal.

6. REMOVE WATER GUARD PLATE RH Removal

7. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL Removal

8. REMOVE COWL BODY MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT RH Removal

9. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

11. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

12. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the No. 2 fuel pipe clamp (Type A).





(b) Remove the No. 2 fuel pipe clamp (Type B).

HINT
The No. 2 fuel pipe clamp (Type B) cannot be reused.

(c) Remove the fuel tube from the fuel hose clamp.

NOTICE:
Do not forcibly bend and twist the fuel main tube.

(d) Wipe off any dirt on the fuel tube connector.

(e) Hold the fuel tube connector, and then install SST.

SST : 09268-21011

(f) Turn SST to align the retainer inside the fuel tube connector with the chamfered part of SST.

(g) Insert SST into the fuel tube and hold it. Then push the fuel tube connector toward SST.

(h) Mount the retainer of the fuel tube connector onto the chamfered part of SST.

(i) Slide SST and fuel tube connector together toward the fuel tube until they make a "click" sound, and then disconnect the fuel tube.

(j) Drain the fuel remaining inside the fuel tube.

(k) Cover the fuel tube and fuel pipe with a plastic bag to protect the disconnected part.

13. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and fuel pressure pulsation damper.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the fuel pressure pulsation damper.
