2AZ-FXE ENGINE MECHANICAL: FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH

2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER

3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

4. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

5. REMOVE REAR SIDE RAIL REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and rear side rail reinforcement sub-assembly RH.





6. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

7. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT Removal

9. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY

(a) Using SST, secure the pulley in place and loosen the pulley bolt.

(b) Using SST, remove the pulley bolt and pulley.

HINT
If necessary, remove the pulley and pulley bolt using SST.

10. REMOVE TIMING CHAIN CASE OIL SEAL

(a) Using a knife, cut off the oil seal lip.

(b) Using a screwdriver with the tip taped, pry out the oil seal.

NOTICE:
After the removal, check the crankshaft for damage. If it is damaged, smooth the surface with 400-grit sandpaper.
