Removal

DOOR / HATCH: HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL LH

3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Removal.

4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH Removal

6. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH Removal

7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH Removal

8. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL Removal

9. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the claw and 2 guides, and disconnect the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.





(b) Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.





10. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly.





(b) Using a screwdriver, disengage each clamp shown in the illustration.

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(c) Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.
