How To Proceed With Troubleshooting





2GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ACTIVE CONTROL ENGINE MOUNT SYSTEM: HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

HINT
* Use this procedure to troubleshoot the active engine mounting system.
* Techstream should be used in steps 2, 6 and 7.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

Standard voltage:

11 to 14 V

If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK AND CLEAR DTCS

(a) Refer to the DTC CHECK / CLEAR Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

5. VISUAL INSPECTION

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

6. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST

(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Start the engine.

(c) Select the item "Powertrain / E-ACM / Active Test / Check the E-ACM".

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.

(b) Delete the DTC.

(c) Recheck for DTCs. Try to prompt the DTC by simulating the original activity that the DTC suggests.

8. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING

(a) Terminals of ECU Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters.

9. ADJUST, REPAIR OR REPLACE

10. CONFIRMATION TEST

NEXT -- END
