DESCRIPTION

* The power management control ECU detects a cruise control switch signal and sends it to the combination meter assembly through CAN. Then the cruise control indicator light comes on.

* The cruise control indicator light circuit uses CAN for communication. If there is a malfunction in this circuit, check for DTCs in the CAN communication system before troubleshooting this circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.

(e) Check the cruise control indicator light by performing the Active Test.

OK:

The display changes as shown above according to Active Test operation.

NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Cruise Control / Data List.

(e) Check the Data List to confirm proper function of the cruise control indicator light.

The display changes as shown above according to cruise control switch operation.
