P3108-536 - A/C Amplifier Communication Circuit Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
- The power management control ECU (HV CPU) detects a wiring malfunction in the serial communication line between it and the compressor with motor assembly.

1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR) P0340-886
NG -- CONNECT SECURELY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR)
(a) Check the connection of the low voltage connector of the compressor with motor assembly.
OK:
The connector is connected securely and there are no contact problems.
NG -- CONNECT SECURELY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
(a) Disconnect connector D12 from the compressor with motor assembly.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

(c) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
NOTICE:
Turning the power switch on (IG) with the compressor with motor assembly connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.
(e) Turn the power switch off.
(f) Connect the compressor with motor assembly connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (READY).
(c) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
(d) Check if DTCs are output.
Result:
(e) Turn the power switch off.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU - COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR)
(a) Disconnect connector A19 from the power management control ECU.
(b) Disconnect connector D12 from the compressor with motor assembly.
(c) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:

(e) Turn the power switch off.

(g) Connect the compressor with motor assembly connector.
(h) Connect the power management control ECU connector.

(a) Disconnect connector D12 from the compressor with motor assembly.
