DESCRIPTION

WIRING DIAGRAM

Refer to the wiring diagram for DTC P0AE6-225 P0AE6.

Refer to the wiring diagram for DTC P3107-213 P3107-213.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (SRS AIRBAG)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / SRS Airbag / Trouble Codes.

(d) Check if DTCs are output.

Result:





(e) Turn the power switch off.

B -- GO TO DTC CHART (AIRBAG SYSTEM) Airbag System
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (CHECK WAVEFORM) P3107-213

B -- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR)
A -- Continue to next step.

3. CLEAR DTC P0A09

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

(d) Check if DTCs are output.

Result:





(e) Turn the power switch off.

B -- REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU Components
A -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS

(a) Check for intermittent problems Check For Intermittent Problems.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE MALFUNCTIONING PARTS, COMPONENT AND AREA

OK -- REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU Components

6. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR) P0340-886

NG -- CONNECT SECURELY
OK -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR)

(a) Check the connections of the airbag sensor assembly connectors.

OK:

The connectors are connected securely and there are no contact problems.

NG -- CONNECT SECURELY
OK -- Continue to next step.

8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (+B SHORT)

(a) Remove the IGCT NO. 2 fuse and AM2 fuse from the engine room junction block assembly.

(b) Disconnect connector H84 from the airbag sensor assembly.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Resistance:

(d) Connect the airbag sensor assembly connector.

(e) Install the IGCT NO. 2 fuse and AM2 fuse.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY WIRES)
OK -- Continue to next step.

9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU - AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect connector H3 from the power management control ECU.

(b) Disconnect connector H84 from the airbag sensor assembly.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Resistance (Check for Open):





Standard Resistance (Check for Short):

HINT
As necessary, check that there is no short to power supply wires when performing the above wire harness inspection.

(d) Connect the airbag sensor assembly connector.

(e) Connect the power management control ECU connector.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

10. CHECK POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU

(a) Disconnect connector H84 from the airbag sensor assembly.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NOTICE:
Turning the power switch on (IG) with the airbag sensor assembly connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

(d) Connect the airbag sensor assembly connector.

NG -- REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU Components

OK -- REPLACE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY Components

11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY WIRES)

(a) Remove the IGCT NO. 2 fuse and AM2 fuse from the engine room junction block assembly.

(b) Disconnect connector H84 from the airbag sensor assembly.

(c) Disconnect all the connectors from the power management control ECU.

(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(e) Connect the power management control ECU connectors.

(f) Connect the airbag sensor assembly connector.

(g) Install the IGCT NO. 2 fuse and AM2 fuse.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU Components
