P2511
HYBRID / BATTERY CONTROL: HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM: P2511-149: ECM/PCM Power Relay Sense Circuit Intermittent
P2511-149 - ECM/PCM Power Relay Sense Circuit Intermittent
DESCRIPTION
This DTC indicates that the power management control ECU (HV CPU) monitors the +B power source voltage to detect an instantaneous interruption.
WIRING DIAGRAM
Refer to the wiring diagram for DTC P3110-223 P3110.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
(a) Confirm whether the auxiliary battery terminals have been disconnected recently.
Result:
B -- CHECK AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (CONTACT PROBLEM)
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CONFIRM THAT MASTER WARNING LIGHT
(a) Turn the power switch on (READY) from off.
(b) Confirm that the master warning light illuminates.
Result:
HINT
DTC P2511-149 may be stored after disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery terminals. If this happens, the DTC will not be output if the power switch is turned off and then on (READY) again. In this case, clear DTCs to complete the inspection.
(c) Turn the power switch off.
B -- END
A -- Continue to next step.
3. CLEAR DTC
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
(d) Read and record the DTCs and freeze frame data.
(e) Clear the DTCs and freeze frame data.
(f) Turn the power switch off.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
(d) Check if DTCs are output.
Result:
(e) Turn the power switch off.
B -- GO TO DTC CHART (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM) How to Proceed With Troubleshooting
A -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (CONTACT PROBLEM)
(a) Check the connection of the auxiliary battery terminal.
OK:
The terminal is connected securely and there is no contact problem.
NG -- CONNECT SECURELY
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR) P0340-886
NG -- CONNECT SECURELY
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU - IGCT RELAY)
(a) Remove the IGCT relay from the engine room junction block assembly.
(b) Disconnect connectors A19 and A20 from power management control ECU.
Text in Illustration
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(d) Install the IGCT relay.
(e) Connect the power management control ECU connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
8. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS
(a) Check for intermittent problems Check For Intermittent Problems.
(1) Check the connection and terminal contact pressure of connectors and wire harnesses between the power management control ECU and the engine room junction block assembly.
(2) When the power switch is on (READY), jiggle the connectors and wire harnesses between the power management control ECU and the engine room junction block assembly.
Result:
B -- REPAIR OR REPLACE MALFUNCTIONING PARTS, COMPONENT AND AREA
A -- REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU Components
