ECM Communication Circuit Malfunction
BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM: C1203/95: ECM Communication Circuit Malfunction
C1203/95 - ECM Communication Circuit Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The circuit is used to send TR(A)C and VSC information from the skid control ECU to the power management control ECU, and hybrid control system information from the power management control ECU to the skid control ECU via the CAN communication system.
Identification information sent from other ECUs is stored when shipped from the factory and used as default values.
NOTICE:
DTC C1203/95 is output when an incorrect ECU is installed. If initialization is performed and learning occurs with an incorrect ECU installed, operations and functions will differ from that stored when the vehicle was shipped from the factory. Therefore, make sure that learning occurs properly.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
When replacing the brake booster with master cylinder (skid control ECU), perform initialization and calibration of the linear solenoid valve Initialization.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK PART NUMBER
(a) Check that a proper power management control ECU, main body ECU and yaw rate and acceleration sensor are installed.
OK:
Proper ECUs and sensor are installed.
(b) Check if the power management control ECU, main body ECU and yaw rate and acceleration sensor had been replaced before the DTC was recorded.
OK:
ECU or sensor had not been replaced.
Result:
B -- REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU Removal
C -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Removal
D -- REPLACE YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR Removal
A -- Continue to next step.
2. PERFORM INITIALIZATION AND CALIBRATION OF LINEAR SOLENOID VALVE
(a) Perform initialization and calibration of the linear solenoid valve Initialization.
HINT
Before performing initialization and calibration of the linear solenoid valve, C1203/95 will be output.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. RECONFIRM DTC
(a) Turn the power switch off.
(b) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(c) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(d) Check if the same DTC is recorded Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result:
B -- END
A -- REPLACE BRAKE BOOSTER WITH MASTER CYLINDER Removal
