C1AED - Rear Sensor Communication Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when there is an open or short circuit in the communication line between the rear sensors and the ECU, or when there is a malfunction in a rear sensor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (C1AED)

(a) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

(b) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

(c) Recheck for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY - REAR RIGHT SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the A49 connector from the clearance warning ECU assembly.

(b) Disconnect the U1 connector from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR RIGHT SENSOR - REAR RIGHT CENTER SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the U1 and U3 connectors from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensors.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR RIGHT CENTER SENSOR - REAR LEFT CENTER SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the U3 and U4 connectors from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensors.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR LEFT CENTER SENSOR - REAR LEFT SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the U4 and U2 connectors from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensors.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

6. CHECK NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR RIGHT SENSOR)

(a) Remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear right sensor) Removal.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Resistance:

OK -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR RIGHT CENTER SENSOR)

(a) Remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear right center sensor) Removal.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR RIGHT CENTER SENSOR) Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

8. CHECK NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR LEFT CENTER SENSOR)

(a) Remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear left center sensor) Removal.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- Continue to next step.

9. REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR RIGHT SENSOR) C1AE9

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

10. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (C1AED)

(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

11. REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR RIGHT CENTER SENSOR) C1AE8

(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
