CRUISE CONTROL: CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM: ROAD TEST
1. INSPECT SET SWITCH
Push the cruise control switch ON.
(b) Drive the vehicle at a desired speed (between approximately 40 km/h and 200 km/h [25 mph and 125 mph]).
Press the main switch to the -/SET.
(d) After releasing the switch, check that the vehicle cruises at the desired speed.
2. INSPECT "+" SWITCH
Push the cruise control switch button to ON.
(b) Drive the vehicle at a desired speed (between approximately 40 km/h and 200 km/h [25 mph and 125 mph]).
Press the main switch to the -/SET.
(d) Check that the vehicle speed increases while the main switch is pulled up to +/RES, and that the vehicle cruises at the set speed when the switch is released.
Momentarily press the main switch upward to +/RES and then immediately release it. Check that the vehicle speed increases by about 1.6 km/h (1.0 mph) (Tap-up function).
3. INSPECT "-" SWITCH
Push the cruise control switch button to ON.
(b) Drive the vehicle at a desired speed (between approximately 40 km/h and 200 km/h [25 mph and 125 mph]).
Press the main switch to the -/SET.
(d) Check that the vehicle speed decreases while the main switch is pushed down to -/SET, and the vehicle cruises at the set speed when the switch is released.
(e) Momentarily press the main switch downward to -/SET, and then immediately release it. Check that the vehicle speed decreases by about 1.6 km/h (1.0 mph) (Tap-down function).
4. INSPECT CANCEL SWITCH
Push the cruise control switch button to ON.
(b) Drive the vehicle at a desired speed (between approximately 40 km/h and 200 km/h [25 mph and 125 mph]).
Press the main switch to the -/SET.
(d) When performing one of the following, check that the cruise control system is canceled and that the normal driving mode is reset.
Depress the brake pedal
Pushing the cruise control switch OFF
Turn the cruise main switch to CANCEL
Moving the shift lever to any position except D or S (8th, 7th, 6th, 5th or 4th gear)
w/ Shift Paddle Switch:
The transmission is changed from 4th gear to 3rd, 2nd or 1st gear with the shift paddle switch while the shift lever is in D or M.
5. INSPECT RES (RESUME) SWITCH
Push the cruise control switch button to ON.
(b) Drive the vehicle at a desired speed (between approximately 40 km/h and 200 km/h [25 mph and 125 mph]).
Press the main switch to the -/SET.
When performing one of the following, check that the cruise control system is canceled and that the normal driving mode is reset.
Depress the brake pedal
Pushing the cruise control switch OFF
Moving the shift lever to any position except D or S (8th, 7th, 6th, 5th or 4th gear)
w/ Shift Paddle Switch:
The transmission is changed from 4th gear to 3rd, 2nd or 1st gear with the shift paddle switch while the shift lever is in D or M.
After the main switch is pulled up to +/RES at a driving speed of more than 40 km/h (25 mph), check that the vehicle restores the speed before the cancellation.
