Lane-Keeping Assist System

C1A05 - Stop Light Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the brake pedal is depressed, the stop light switch sends a signal to the driving support ECU via the ECM. After receiving the signal, the driving support ECU cancels the lane-keeping assist system.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BATTERY)

(a) Disconnect the A35 switch connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the stop light switch Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY - DRIVING SUPPORT ECU)

(a) Disconnect the A35 switch connector.





(b) Disconnect the A33 ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU Removal
