Accelerator Pedal: Testing and Inspection

4GR-FSE ENGINE CONTROL: ACCELERATOR PEDAL: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Accel Sensor Out No. 1 and Accel Sensor Out No. 2.

(e) When depressing or releasing the accelerator pedal, check that the values of the Accel Sensor Out No. 1 and Accel Sensor Out No. 2 are within the specification.

If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal, wire harness or ECM.
