PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: ULTRASONIC SENSOR (for Rear Side): REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY

Removal

2. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (for Corner Sensor)

(a) Disengage the wire harness clamp.





HINT
The illustration is for the LH side. The RH side is the opposite of the LH side.

(b) Disconnect the sensor connector.

(c) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor.





HINT
The illustration is for the LH side. The RH side is the opposite of the LH side.

(d) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the ultrasonic sensor clip as shown in the illustration.

3. REMOVE NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (for Corner Sensor)

(a) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor retainer from the rear bumper assembly.





HINT
The illustration is for the LH side. The RH side is the opposite of the LH side.

4. REMOVE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (for Back Sensor)

(a) Disconnect the sensor connector.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor.





(c) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the ultrasonic sensor clip as shown in the illustration.

5. REMOVE NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (for Back Sensor)

(a) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor retainer from the rear bumper assembly.
