HYBRID / BATTERY CONTROL: FRAME WIRE: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRAME WIRE

CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves.

(a) Install the frame wire with 3 new clamps.

(b) Insert the frame wire into the floor panel hole.

(c) Install the nut and clamp.

Torque : 8.4 Nm (85 kgf-cm, 74 in-lbf)

(d) Install the nut and clamp.

Torque : 8.4 Nm (85 kgf-cm, 74 in-lbf)

(e) Connect a new clamp.

(f) Install the nut and a new clamp.

Torque : 8.4 Nm (85 kgf-cm, 74 in-lbf)

(g) Install the nut, bolt and heater pipe.

Torque : 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)

(h) Install the nut and clamp.

Torque : 8.4 Nm (85 kgf-cm, 74 in-lbf)

(i) Connect the 2 wire harness clamps.

(j) Engage the 6 claws to install the wire harness protector.

(k) Connect the connector to the engine room junction block assembly.

(l) Connect the No. 2 engine room wire with the bolt and 2 claws.

Torque : 8.4 Nm (85 kgf-cm, 74 in-lbf)

(m) Install the No. 1 relay block cover and 2 clamps.

(n) Install the relay block cover.

(o) Engage the 3 claws.

(p) Connect the 3 wire harness clamps to the floor panel.

(q) Install the wire harness protector and connect the clamp to the floor panel.

2. CONNECT CABLE TO HYBRID BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves.

(a) Connect the frame wire with the clamp and 2 nuts.

Torque : 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf)

NOTICE:
* Make sure that the ends of the frame wire do not cross over each other.
* Be sure to connect the frame wire to each correct terminal as shown in the illustration.

(b) Install the battery shield contact.

Be sure to install the battery shield contact in the correct direction.

3. CHECK HIGH VOLTAGE CABLE CONNECTION CONDITION Installation

4. CONNECT NO. 4 HYBRID BATTERY SHIELD PANEL

CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves.

(a) Install the No. 4 hybrid battery shield panel with the 3 bolts and nut.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

(b) Install the battery cover lock striker, then push the button to lock it.

(c) Connect the frame wire and install the nut.

Torque : 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf)

(d) Install the nut and connect the ground cable.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

5. CONNECT CABLE TO BATTERY TERMINAL

(a) Install the nut and clamp.

Torque : 7.6 Nm (77 kgf-cm, 67 in-lbf)

(b) Install the terminal cover.

6. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

7. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH

(a) Install the rear floor side member cover RH with the 2 bolts and 2 clips.

8. INSTALL FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER RH

(a) Install the front center floor cover RH with the 3 clips.

9. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER RH

(a) Install the front floor cover RH with the bolt and 4 clips.

10. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD
