BRAKE (REAR): REAR BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE: REMOVAL
NOTICE:
If both left and right hoses are disconnected at the same time, be sure to place identification marks indicating the position on each side.
HINT
* Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
* The following procedure is for the LH side.
1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System)
NOTICE:
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT Removal
3. DISABLE BRAKE CONTROL Removal
4. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
5. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
NOTICE:
If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, immediately wash it off.
6. REMOVE REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE
(a) Remove the union bolt and gasket, and separate the rear flexible hose.
(b) Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the brake line while holding the rear flexible hose with a wrench.
NOTICE:
* Do not bend or damage the brake line.
* Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake line from the connecting points.
(c) Remove the clip, bolt and rear flexible hose.
