Installation

1UR-FSE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CAMSHAFT OIL CONTROL VALVE: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2)

(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring, and install it to the oil control valve.

(b) Install the oil control valve with the bolt.





Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
* Do not allow foreign matter to contact the oil seal face of the oil control valve (connecting surface with cylinder head cover sub-assembly).
* Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or does not jump out of position when installing the oil control valve.

(c) Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.





2. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1)

(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring, and install it to the oil control valve.

(b) Install the oil control valve with the bolt.





Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
* Do not allow foreign matter to contact the oil seal face of the oil control valve (connecting surface with cylinder head cover sub-assembly).
* Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or does not jump out of position when installing the oil control valve.

(c) Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.





3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

4. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation

5. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

6. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Installation

7. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Installation

8. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation

9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
