Installation
1UR-FSE EXHAUST: EXHAUST PIPE: INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
(a) Install a 2 new gaskets to the exhaust manifold RH and exhaust manifold LH.
(b) Install the front exhaust pipe assembly with 4 new bolts and 4 new nuts.
Torque : 39 Nm (389 kgf-cm, 29 ft-lbf)
2. CONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2)
(a) Rotate the heated oxygen sensor 4 times counterclockwise, and then install the them to the front exhaust pipe assembly by hand.
(b) Using SST, tighten the 2 heated oxygen sensors.
SST : 09224-00010
with SST - Torque : 40 Nm (408 kgf-cm, 30 ft-lbf)
without SST - Torque : 44 Nm (448 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)
HINT
* Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 30 cm (11.8 in.). If the fulcrum length is not as specified, calculate the torque value based on the specification for when SST is not used Service Precautions.
* Make sure that SST and the wrench are connected in a straight line.
(c) Connect the 2 grommets to the floor panel.
3. CONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2)
(a) Rotate the heated oxygen sensors 4 times counterclockwise, and then install it to the front exhaust pipe assembly by hand.
(b) Using SST, tighten the 2 heated oxygen sensors.

with SST - Torque : 40 Nm (408 kgf-cm, 30 ft-lbf)
without SST - Torque : 44 Nm (448 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)
HINT
* Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 30 cm (11.8 in.). If the fulcrum length is not as specified, calculate the torque value based on the specification for when SST is not used Service Precautions.
* Make sure that SST and the wrench are connected in a straight line.
4. INSTALL FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE
(a) Install the floor brace with the 4 bolts.
Torque : 7.4 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)
5. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 FLOOR PANEL BRACE
(a) Install the rear No. 1 floor panel brace with the 4 bolts.
Torque : 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)
6. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER CENTER RH Installation
7. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER CENTER LH Installation
8. INSTALL EXHAUST TAIL PIPE BAFFLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Align the baffle with the protruding part of the tail pipe positioned as shown in the illustration.
(b) Using a plastic-faced hammer, uniformly tap the baffle onto the tail pipe.
9. INSTALL EXHAUST PIPE DAMPER
(a) Install the damper with the 2 bolts.
Torque : 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)
10. INSTALL TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a vernier caliper, measure the free length of the compression spring.
Minimum length:
38.5 mm (1.516 in.)
If the free length is less than the minimum, replace the compression spring.
(b) Fully insert a new gasket to the front exhaust pipe assembly.
(c) Using a plastic hammer and wooden block, tap in the new gasket until its surface is flush with the front exhaust pipe assembly.
NOTICE:
* Be sure to install the gasket in the correct direction.
* Do not reuse the gasket.
* Do not damage the gasket.
* Do not push in the gasket by using the exhaust pipe when connecting it.
(d) Connect the tail exhaust pipe assembly to the 6 exhaust pipe supports.
(e) Install the tail exhaust pipe assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.
Torque : 43 Nm (439 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)
11. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
