Removal
SUSPENSION: REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR: REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
HINT
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM SIDE COVER LH
3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM SIDE COVER RH
4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT Removal
5. REMOVE TOOL BOX Removal
6. REMOVE ACTIVE STABILIZER CONVERTER COVER
7. DISCONNECT REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Using the procedures below, disconnect the connector (A).
(1) Using a screwdriver, release the lever's lock. (*1)
(2) Move the lever in the direction of the arrow in the illustration. (*2)
(3) Disconnect the ECU connector. (*3)
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the connector, do not apply excessive force to the wire harness.
(b) Disconnect the connector (B) and connector (C).
(c) Remove the 4 clamps and packing, and move the disconnected side of the wire harness out of the vehicle.
8. REMOVE TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs, and disconnect the front exhaust pipe from the tailpipe.
(b) Remove the tailpipe from the 6 No. 4 exhaust pipe supports.
9. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
10. REMOVE NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR
(a) Remove the 2 nuts and support protector.
11. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the nut labeled A, and disconnect the link from the stabilizer.
HINT
If the stud bolts turn freely, use a 6 mm hexagon wrench.
(b) Remove the bolt labeled B, and disconnect the link and bracket from the No. 2 suspension arm.
12. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH
HINT
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
13. REMOVE REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 4 bolts, 2 brackets, 2 bushings and control actuator.
