Seat Temperature Switch: Testing and Inspection





SEAT: SEAT HEATER SWITCH: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH





(a) Disconnect the K40 switch connector.

(b) Measure the resistance of the switch.

Standard resistance:





HINT
As the dial is being turned, the resistance changes gradually.

If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

(c) Connect the battery's positive (+) lead to terminal 4 (ILL+) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 12 (E).

(d) Check the indicator light.

OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

2. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH (w/ CLIMATE CONTROL SEAT SYSTEM)





(a) Disconnect the K40 switch connector.

(b) Measure the resistance of the switch.

Standard resistance:





HINT
As the dial is being turned, the resistance changes gradually.

If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

(c) Connect the battery's positive (+) lead to terminal 4 (ILL+) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 12 (E).

(d) Check the indicator light.

OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.
