(e) When the R mirror master switch is pressed, check that the indicator light on the RH side illuminates.

(f) With the mirror master switch set to R, check that the mirror surface moves UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT normally.

(g) After checking the mirror surface movement, check that pressing the R mirror master switch causes the indicator light on the RH side to turn off.

2. CHECK MEMORY AND REACTIVATION FUNCTION

(a) Turn the engine switch on (IG) with the shift lever in P.

(b) Check the M1 switch.

(1) Using the mirror master switch and mirror control switch, fully turn the mirror to the left.

(2) Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds when the M1 switch is pressed while the SET switch is being pressed, or the M1 switch is pressed within 3 seconds after the SET switch is pressed.

(3) Change the position of the outer mirror and then press the M1 switch. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.1 seconds and the outer mirror automatically moves to the recorded fully turned left position.

(c) Check the M2 switch.

(1) Using the mirror master switch and mirror control switch, fully turn the mirror to the right.

(2) Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds when the M2 switch is pressed while the SET switch is being pressed, or the M2 switch is pressed within 3 seconds after the SET switch is pressed.

(3) Change the position of the outer mirror and then press the M2 switch. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.1 seconds and the outer mirror automatically moves to the recorded fully turned right position.

(d) Check the M3 switch.

(1) Using the mirror master switch and mirror control switch, fully turn the mirror upward.

(2) Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds when the M3 switch is pressed while the SET switch is being pressed, or the M3 switch is pressed within 3 seconds after the SET switch is pressed.

(3) Change the position of the outer mirror and then press the M3 switch. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.1 seconds and the outer mirror automatically moves to the recorded fully upward position.

(e) When the outer mirror is in the driving position:

Check that switches M1, M2 and M3 cause the outer mirror to move to the recorded outer mirror positions under the following conditions: the engine switch is turned off, the driver door is opened, and M1, M2 or M3 is pressed within 180 seconds.

(f) When the outer mirror is in the driving position:

Check that switches M1, M2 and M3 cause the outer mirror to move to the recorded outer mirror positions under the following conditions: the engine switch is turned off, the driver door is closed, and M1, M2 or M3 is pressed within 60 seconds.

(g) Operate the front vertical function of the power seat switch to tilt the seat down 3 times; within 10 seconds after operating the front vertical function of the power seat switch, operate the lifter function of the power seat switch to tilt up and the reclining function of the power seat switch to recline the seat simultaneously and hold both switches for 10 seconds.

HINT
The buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds when the memory is cleared.

(h) Check that all recorded outer mirror positions are cleared. Attempt to record a seat position by pressing and holding the SET switch and two other switches (among M1, M2 and M3). No outer mirror position should be recorded. Check this by pressing M1, M2 or M3 and make sure that the outer mirror does not move.

3. CHECK POWER RETRACTABLE MIRROR

(a) Turn the engine switch on (ACC).

(b) At each position of the outer mirror body, check the retractable mirror operation when operating the retract switch of the outer mirror.

(1) Move the mirrors to the driving position.

(2) Press the retract switch.

(3) Check that the right and left mirrors move from the driving position to the retracted position.

(4) Move the mirrors to the driving position.

(5) Move one of the mirrors to the forward position by hand.

(6) Press the retract switch.

(7) Check that the mirror moves from the forward position to the retracted position.

(8) Check that the other mirror moves from the driving position to the retracted position.

(9) Move the mirrors to the driving position.

(10) Move one of the mirrors to the retracted position by hand.

(11) Press the retract switch.

(12) Check that the outer mirror moves from the driving position to the retracted position.

(13) Move the mirrors to the retracted position.

(14) Press the retract switch.

(15) Check that the right and left mirrors move from the retracted position to the driving position.

(16) Move the mirrors to the retracted position.

(17) Move one of the mirrors to the driving position by hand.
