How To Proceed With Troubleshooting





PRE-COLLISION: PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM: HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

HINT
* Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the pre-collision system.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

Standard Voltage:

11 to 14 V

If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Check for DTCs.





B -- GO TO MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

(a) Check for DTCs.





B -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK FOR DTC*

(a) Check for DTCs.

(1) Record the DTCs.

(b) Clear the DTCs.

(c) Recheck for DTCs.

(1) Simulate the malfunction and check if the DTCs are output again Pre-Collision System.





B -- GO TO DTC CHART

C -- GO TO SYMPTOM SIMULATION
A -- Continue to next step.

6. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
