DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU receives pre-collision brake on/off signal from pre-collision brake cancel switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT PRE-COLLISION BRAKE CANCEL SWITCH

(a) Remove the pre-collision brake cancel switch Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

(c) Reinstall the pre-collision brake cancel switch Installation.

NG -- REPLACE PRE-COLLISION BRAKE CANCEL SWITCH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-COLLISION BRAKE CANCEL SWITCH - SKID CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the pre-collision brake cancel switch connector.

(b) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance (for Vehicle stability control system):





Standard Resistance (for Electronically controlled brake system):





Result:





(d) Reconnect the skid control ECU connector.

(e) Reconnect the pre-collision brake cancel switch connector.

C -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-COLLISION BRAKE CANCEL SWITCH - BODY GROUND)

B -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)

A -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (PRE-COLLISION BRAKE CANCEL SWITCH - SKID CONTROL ECU)

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)

(a) Disconnect the pre-collision brake cancel switch assembly connector.





(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:

(d) Reconnect the pre-collision brake cancel switch assembly connector.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (PRE-COLLISION BRAKE CANCEL SWITCH POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)

OK -- REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU Removal

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-COLLISION BRAKE CANCEL SWITCH - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the pre-collision brake cancel switch connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
