DESCRIPTION

The clearance sonar main switch is installed on the integration control and panel assembly.

When the clearance sonar main switch in turned ON, an ON signal is sent to the clearance warning ECU through the BEAN line. The intuitive parking assist system operates according to this signal.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

Refer to how to proceed with troubleshooting How to Proceed With Troubleshooting.

If the multiplex communication system is operating normally, proceed to the next step.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. READ VALUE OF TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Intuitive P/A.

(e) Turn the clearance sonar main switch ON.

(f) Select the item below in the Data List, and read its value displayed on the Techstream to check the clearance sonar main switch.

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.

3. READ VALUE OF TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / D-SEAT SW.

(e) Turn the clearance sonar main switch ON.

(f) Select the item below in the Data List, and read its value displayed on the Techstream to check the clearance sonar main switch.

NG -- REPLACE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY
