INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK BASIC FUNCTION (PUSH-BUTTON START FUNCTION)

(a) Check basic function of the push-button start function.

OK:

Basic function operates normally.

NG -- Go to SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT FUSE (AM1, ECU-IG RH)

(a) Remove the AM1 and ECU-IG RH fuses from the cowl side junction block.

(b) Measure the resistance of the fuses.

Standard resistance:

Below 1 Ohms

NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH - BATTERY)

(a) Disconnect the DM junction block connector.

(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

Standard voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH

(a) Measure the voltage between the terminal of the connector and body ground.

Standard voltage:

NG -- REPLACE COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the DD junction block connector.

(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:
