DESCRIPTION

When the touch sensor inside the outside door handle rear LH is touched, the multiplex network door ECU rear LH (rear door LH ECU) sends a request signal to the door electrical key oscillator rear LH. The key receives this request and transmits its ID code. Upon receiving the ID code, the certification ECU determines that the key is outside the vehicle and sends a lock signal to the rear door LH lock through the cowl side junction block RH (multiplex network body ECU).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK MANUAL DOOR LOCK OPERATION

(a) Check that the manual door lock function operates normally.

OK:

Manual door lock function operates normally.

NG -- GO TO POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH)

(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the rear LH side door courtesy light switch.

OK:

ON (door courtesy light switch is pushed) appears on the screen.

NG -- GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR LOCK POSITION SWITCH)

(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the door lock position switch.

OK:

On the Techstream screen, the display changes between ON and OFF as shown in the chart above.

NG -- GO TO POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM (Proceed to Only Rear Door LH LOCK / UNLOCK Functions do not Operate)
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LOCK SWITCH)

(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the door lock switch.

OK:

ON (lock switch is pushed) appears on the screen.

NG -- REPLACE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY LH
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK OPERATION OF MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU REAR LH

(a) After replacing the multiplex network door ECU rear LH with a normal one, check that the entry lock function operates normally.

OK:

Entry lock function operates normally.

NG -- REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU ASSEMBLY

OK -- END (MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU REAR LH IS DEFECTIVE)
