C1201/51 - Engine Control System Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

When the skid control ECU receives an engine control system malfunction signal, this DTC is set and the slip indicator light is illuminated. (The VSC system is operating normally.)

While the engine control system is malfunctioning, as a fail safe function, TR(A)C and VSC controls are prohibited. If a normal signal is received from the engine control system, the warning light will be turned off, the fail safe function will be cancelled and this DTC will be cleared.

1. CHECK ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM

(a) Check if any engine control system DTC is output Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes for 2GR-FSE).

B -- INSPECT ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM (for 2GR-FSE) SFI System

A -- REPLACE ECM (for 2GR-FSE) Removal
