SUSPENSION CONTROL: ACTIVE STABILIZER SUSPENSION SYSTEM: C1930-C1933, C1936-C1938, C193A: Open in Front Metal Board Temperature Sensor Circuit


DESCRIPTION

The front active stabilizer control ECU consists of a metal board, control board, power source IC, step-up circuit, EEPROM, and other parts. If a problem occurs in the front active stabilizer control ECU and PIG power source circuit, DTCs C1930, C1931, C1932, C1933, C1936, C1937, C1938 and C193A are stored.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (STB FR)

(a) Remove the STB FR H-fuse from the luggage room No. 6 relay block.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





HINT
When a fuse burns out during installation, there may be a power source-related short.

NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RELAY BLOCK - BATTERY)

(a) Remove the front active stabilizer relay from the luggage room No. 6 relay block.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER RELAY (STB FR)

(a) Remove the front active stabilizer relay from the luggage room No. 6 relay block.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER RELAY
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. INSPECT REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER RELAY (STB RR)

(a) Remove the rear active stabilizer relay from the luggage room No. 6 relay block.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER RELAY
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK ACTIVE STABILIZER RELAY CIRCUIT

(a) Remove the front and rear active stabilizer relays from the luggage room No. 6 relay block.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE LUGGAGE ROOM RELAY BLOCK
OK -- Continue to next step.

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU - RELAY BLOCK)

(a) Disconnect the A49 front active stabilizer control ECU connector.





(b) Remove the front active stabilizer relay from the luggage room No. 6 relay block.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU - RELAY BLOCK)

(a) Disconnect the e1 rear active stabilizer control ECU connector.





(b) Remove the rear active stabilizer relay from the luggage room No. 6 relay block.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

8. CHECK OPERATION OF FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU

(a) Turn the engine switch off.

(b) Exchange the rear active stabilizer control ECU with the front active stabilizer control ECU.

(c) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.

(d) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and press the Techstream main switch ON.

(e) Clear the DTC Active Stabilizer Suspension System.

(f) Check for DTC.
